CREATIVE EMPOWERMENT ARTS CONTEST SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
CREATIVE EMPOWERMENT ARTS CONTEST
Your Time For Creative Empowerment, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which works with Long Island area youth and their families to identify solutions to 21st Century challenges and pitfalls though the use of the arts, fashion and culture is once again offering the Creative Empowerment Arts Contest College scholarship and Leadership awards to high school students - of all academic disciplines and acumen - who can demonstrate exceptional ability to creatively depict or express their views and observations of life for 21st Century youth using their arts form(s) of choice. Starting this year, we are extending the contest to 8th grade students.
Each High school graduate, eleventh and twelfth grade winner of this contest receives a $1000.00 College Scholarship while the 8th, 9th and 10th grade winners each receive a leadership grant award of $300.00 to be used to further a proposed original leadership initiative in their school or community. Winners and their creative expressions are formally presented at the organization's annual fundraising event and must be available to attend and participate in workshops and arts exhibitions organized by the organization.
All entries submitted through the online upload tool must be CREATED EXCLUSIVELY for this contest and must be submitted to the organization in its physical form in order to fully meet the Your Time For Creative Empowerment, Inc. contest requirement.
